Charlie Zahm Honors John Denver in Benefit Concert

Charlie Zahm is one of the most popular soloists of Celtic, Maritime and American Traditional music in the EasternĀ U.S.

Troubadour Charlie Zahm and his fiddler friend Tad Marks will bring their spirited vocals to the Medford Friends Meetinghouse on Saturday evening, July 8, 2017 starting at 7 p.m. The familiar songs of John Denver will delight Charlieā€™s legion of fans and invite many to sing along. The Meetinghouse is located at 14 Union Street, Medford, NJ, and parking is free. The cost is $15 per person at theĀ door.

With his beautiful baritone voice, Charlie Zahm is one of the most popular soloists of Celtic, Maritime and American Traditional music in the Eastern U.S. A master of the guitar as well, Charlie brings an authentic love and respect for the music he sings. He is a devoted John Denver fan and jumps at the opportunity to play and sing Denverā€™s popular favorites.

This third annual concert benefits the Dr. James Still Education Center in Medford. Known as the ā€œBlack Doctor of the Pinesā€ Dr. Still practiced herbal medicine throughout the area in the middle 1800s. His property was the first African-American historic site bought by the state of New Jersey for historic preservation. The Medford Historical Society presents programs at the education center leased from the state. His office building, still standing but long closed, is awaiting restoration.
