The Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library will hold an interactive presentation on vegan practices June 28
The Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library in Washington Township will present “Building a Better World by Being Vegan: Good for the Animals, the Planet and You” on Wednesday, June 28, at 7 p.m.
The program will be interactive, including a presentation and Q & A session with Jena and Anthony Mazzio, founders of Ahimsa Acres Sanctuary, a South Jersey farm sanctuary for rescued animals. This will be followed by a vegan food discussion and tasting presented by Dawn Lucas, owner of the Gentle Giant Café, which will include a hands on make and take salad jar project. Participants are asked to bring a glass jar with a lid at least 16 ounces in size.
This program is free and open to everyone. Donations to Ahimsa Acres Sanctuary will be accepted. Advance online or phone registration is required. Please visit www.hegganlibrary.org, or call the library at (856) 589–3334 to reserve your spot.
