Chef Van Wagner opened the Tria Taproom in 2014 and it has since been dubbed Philly’s hangout for wine and beer. Tria Taproom was named Philadelphia Magazine’s Best of Philly Beer Bar and one of Draft Magazine’s 100 best beer bars. Van Wagner will transform his expertise in simple but delicious bar food into a contemporary menu featuring organic, farm-sourced ingredients and local craft beers.

Chef Robert Bennett joined Classic Cake as their Executive Pastry Chef in 2005 and is the driving force behind the company’s product offerings and introduces unique desserts, pastries, gelato, sorbet and chocolates. He has competed in the World Cup Pastry Championship in France representing the United States and has served as a judge in the Premier World Chocolate Masters in Paris. He is a regular in Philadelphia local television and has appeared with his Classic Cake team on the TLC show Fabulous Cakes.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Chef Todd and to welcome back Chef Bennett as they collaborate on a fresh, summer-inspired menu for our guests,” said Sabrina Spector, JCC Cultural Director. “We are also very excited about holding this annual event in the beautiful summer weather.”

Proceeds from the Gourmet Wine & Dine will support the Katz JCC’s adult nutrition program, which provides 20,000 nutritious meals to seniors throughout the year. Tickets are available in the JCC Adult, Cultural & Judaic Department suite, by calling Sabrina Spector at (856) 424–4444 ext. 1108 or e-mailing [email protected].
