Both Cherry Hill ShopRite locations announced on Wednesday the company free fruit program is being expanded to its stores.
Kids visiting either of the two ShopRite locations in Cherry Hill can now receive a free, healthy snack.
On Wednesday, ShopRite announced the expansion of its free fruit program. The program, which launched earlier this year, will now include both the ShopRite of Evesham Road as well as the ShopRite of Garden State Pavilion in Cherry Hill. The program is also being rolled out to three other ShopRite locations in Mt. Laurel and Marlton.
Kids 12 and young will receive a free piece of fruit while shopping with a parent or guardian. The fruits are located in the produce aisle and the program is overseen by each store’s team of dietitians.
“We’re proud to launch the free fruit program in our stores,” says Brett Ravitz, vice president of merchandising at Ravitz Family Markets, which owns and operates five ShopRite stores in southern New Jersey. “ShopRite is deeply committed to the belief that good eating habits can be taught at any age, and we’re thrilled to find new and fun ways to educate and inspire our customers and their families about the importance of good nutrition.”
