Portion of Tauton Lake Road closed until around May 8 for repair work by Burlington County

The Evesham Police Department has implemented a traffic control plan to limit the traffic congestion as much as possible during the road closure.

The Evesham Police Department is informing the public to be aware that the now ongoing closure of Tauton Lake Road will cause “significant” traffic impediments to the motoring public.

Taunton Lake Road will be closed from Kings Grant Drive to Tomlinson Mill Road throughout construction, with the roadway expected to reopen on or about May 8.

As such, the Evesham Police Department has implemented a traffic control plan to limit the traffic congestion as much as possible during the road closure.

As part of the plan, Evesham police officers will be strategically positioned at intersections being negatively affected by the road closure during the morning and afternoon rush hours.

The officers will remain at these strategic positions to allow for the traffic flow for the duration of the road project.

Residents with concerns can contact Evesham Police Support Bureau Commander Lt. Bruce Higbee at (856) 983–1116 or [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

The Evesham Police Department would also like to remind the motoring public to expect traffic delays during the road construction and to allow extra time during the morning and evening rush hours.

Police have released the following description of the detour route:

From Kings Grant Drive make a right turn and drive southbound to County Road 623 Taunton Blvd., make a left turn and travel eastbound to County Roud 620 Tuckerton Road in Medford Township, make a left turn onto County Road 620 westbound straight on County Road 620, East Main Street, Evesham, to Willow Bend Road, then straight out to Tomlinson Mill Road and bear to the right and drive straight to County Road 544.
