Author to discuss civic engagement at Burlington County Library on April 13

Sam Daley-Harris is author of ‘Reclaiming Our Democracy: Healing the Break Between People and Government.’

Author Sam Daley-Harris will discuss civic engagement and finding a path for making a difference when he appears at the Burlington County Library in Westampton on Thursday, April 13 at 7 p.m.

During “We the People: The Importance of Civic Engagement,” Daley-Harris will address issues such as having an active voice in American democracy and how navigating the opportunities to be more engaged as citizens can be daunting.

Daley-Harris will guide attendees around the pitfalls on the path to making a difference. Representatives from some of the organizations Daley-Harris has worked with also will be in attendance. Admission to this special library event is free, but registration is required.

Daley-Harris is the author of “Reclaiming Our Democracy: Healing the Break Between People and Government.” He also founded the anti-poverty lobby RESULTS in 1980, co-founded the Microcredit Summit Campaign in 1995, and founded the Center for Citizen Empowerment and Transformation (CCET) in 2012.
