Tree seedlings will be given away to Palmyra residents as a part of Palmyra Day on Saturday, May 6.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, representatives from the New Jersey Tree Recovery Campaign will give away 500 tree seedlings as a part of Palmyra Day.
Seedlings of various species will be given away to residents at the Band Shell next to Borough Hall. The seedlings will come with instructions on planting and care and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The program is a part of the New Jersey Tree Recovery Campaign, which helps communities replace trees damaged or destroyed by Superstorm Sandy. Their goal is to distribute over 500,000 tree seedlings to New Jersey residents.
