State Sen. Diane Allen returns to MHS to speak about women in politics

State Sen. Diane Allen, a Moorestown High School graduate, returned to her alma mater last month to speak to the MHS Human Rights Club about women, politics and democracy.

Allen, who represents New Jersey’s 7th Legislative District, has served on the New Jersey Relations Council, the Martin Luther King Jr. Commission and was a delegate for the Republican National Convention.

Moorestown High School sophomore sets sail on new club

Bobby Whitley found his passion when he was just 9 years old, and now he’s bringing it to Moorestown High School.

The sophomore recently founded the Moorestown High School Sailing Team, a coed, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is parent-sponsored and aims to provide sailing training and competition for students.

Moorestown Honors Entrepreneurship students receive various awards

Moorestown High School business and entrepreneurship teacher Adam Roth announced the recent awards MHS students received in a variety of local and national competitions. Students enrolled in the Honors Entrepreneurship program submitted a total of 18 business plans to several competitions this year and many of them placed in award categories.

Board of Education holding special meeting for theatrical upgrades

There will be a special Board of Education meeting on Monday, April 10 at 7:30 a.m. at the administration building to review or reject bids received for theatrical upgrades renovations.
