Moorestown experiencing an increase in overnight theft from vehicles

The Moorestown Police Department has provided some theft prevention tips.

Moorestown and area towns are experiencing an increase in overnight thefts from unlocked vehicles, according to the Moorestown Police Department.

The Department has provided the following theft prevention tips:

• Lock your car.
• Do not leave valuables in plain view.
• Do not leave windows or sunroof open.
• Do not leave doors unlocked.
• Do not leave keys/starter FOBs in the vehicle.
• Do not leave the garage door opener in plain view.
• Do not leave items with personal identifies in plain view.
• Do move valuable items to the trunk while in public view.

If you see or hear suspicious activity, call for police response at (856) 234–8300. For emergencies, call 911.
