Police department warns residents about recent phone scam

Do not to given out any personal information over the phone orĀ email.

The Cinnaminson Township Police Department reports that numerous residents have called stating they received a call from the Internal Revenue Service, and that a warrant has been issued for their arrest. The residents are then instructed to call a number to take care of theĀ warrant.

The department reminds residents that the IRS will never call you stating that you have a warrant. Do not to given out any personal information over the phone orĀ email.
