Council spoke against the potential rezoning after an agenda item at the Board of Education’s most recent meeting where the board applied to the state to determine if it would allow any potential sale of several properties the district owns throughout the township.
Burlington County honors 7-year-old Marlton boy for calling 911 during mother’s medical emergency
Burlington County Freeholders used part of their meeting this week to honor 7-year-old Marlton resident Rocco Regalbuto for his actions on March 3 when he knew to call 911 after he saw his mother Danielle Regalbuto. suffering from a medical emergency. As Rocco’s mother was getting him ready for school that morning while the two were alone at home, she suddenly collapsed and started struggling to breathe.
Evesham Police honor life saving actions of officer with February’s “Officer of The Month” award
Evesham Police have commended Ptlm. Robert Hansbury, a member of the Evesham Police Department for 12 years, as “Officer of the Month” for February. Police say Hansbury performed “quick, life saving actions” when Hansbury saved the life of an unconscious Cherokee High School staff member by performing CPR several weeks ago.
Evesham Fire-Rescue to hold annual Train and Toy Show on March 26
Evesham Fire-Rescue will be holding its annual Train and Toy Show on Sunday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Main Street Fire Station, 26 East Main Street. Admission is $3 for individuals and $5 for families. Proceeds benefit the restoration and maintenance of the Marlton Fire Company 1927 Hale Pumper and the Historic Marlton Fire Company firehouse.
Evesham Police arrest man for stealing from woman’s purse at ShopRite supermarket
On March 9 at 4:06 p.m., Evesham Police say officers responded to the Shoprite, 307 W. Route 70, for a report of a male who had stolen the wallet out of a shopper’s purse. Police eventually arrested, Robert Mount, age 55, of Iselin, and charged him with fourth-degree theft. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.
