Students held a bake sale to raise money in addition to collecting pet supplies.
Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Marlton recently hosted a bake sale to raise money and collect donations of pet supplies for the Voorhees Animal Orphanage.
Students collected pet food, towels, cleaning supplies, toys and other items for the organization.
Representatives from the organization, along with one of the shelter’s adoptable dogs, visited the school to accept the donations from students.
Through this initiative, those with the preschool say students have been learning how to take care of animals and the importance of giving back to the community.
Voorhees Animal Orphanage provides shelter and adoption services for the animals entrusted to its care with a goal of safely reuniting them with their owners or finding them suitable and permanent new homes.
