Isiah and I met in Peoria, Illinois at Buffalo Wild Wings in April of 2007.
The first place we went on a date was to a restaurant called PO’ Boys in Peoria, Illinois.
The most romantic thing we have ever done together was the day we adopted our dog from the humane society. We got her one week after we married.
We stand out as a couple because I am the bold, go-getter and he is the calm and steady anchor. We have our own business together, that we started with my mom. It takes a special man to go into business with his mother-in-law and be happy about the decision.
The advice I have to budding romances is never be scared to ask for what you want/need from your mate. Take time to get to know each other. Lots and lots of time. We date for four and a half years before we got married.
After just five years of marriage, what I know about marriage is that they/you may change or they/you may never change and you/they must be “good” with that knowledge.
