President Trump started a trade war with our neighbor, Mexico, about a wall and about who is going to pay for it. The cost of building the wall is estimated to be $15,000,000 to $25,000,000. Mexico is reacting and American exports to Mexico could be in jeopardy. It is estimated that these exports add up to $267,000,000 each year and account for 1.1 million American jobs. Smart move, Mr. President, smart move.
President Trump places a premium on intelligence, stating recently that his cabinet members have the highest IQ in recorded history. Maybe one of his really smart cabinet members will tell him about the existence of the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, and the possibility that some smart Mexican will enter our shores using a $500 rowboat. Or if he builds a 20-foot-high wall, another smart Mexican will use a 22-foot ladder.
What next? We wait, we watch, we cringe.
