Burlington County Library System challenges kids to fight cabin fever

BCLS Winter Reading Challenge runs Feb. 1 to 28

Kids can take on the BCLS Winter Reading Challenge at the Pinelands Branch Library.

The Burlington County Library System invites kids to fight cabin fever this February by taking the BCLS Winter Reading Challenge and completing 28 fun activities.

Designed for children ages 11 and under, the Winter Reading Challenge will run from Feb. 1 to Feb. 28. To participate, simply pick up a game board at any BCLS branch, or play online using Beanstack, the easy-to-use activity tracker available on the library’s website.

The program encourages children to spend the month tackling a variety of tasks, such as attending a library program, dancing to a favorite song, high-fiving a librarian, and of course, reading just for fun.

Kids who complete all 28 activities and turn in their game boards by March 1 will be entered to win a special grand prize awarded at each library branch.

For more information, visit your BCLS library, or go to www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
