Cherry Hill East students hoping policy changes will allow him to bring service dog to school
Cherry Hill High School East junior Ben Shore said his dog, Charlie, has changed his life. Charlie is a trained service dog who helps Shore cope with symptoms of autism and panic attacks. Despite Charlie’s service dog certification, Shore has not been able to bring his dog to school because of a district policy. Now, the district is changing the policy, starting a discussion of how to balance one student’s needs with the needs of thousands of other students.
Mayor Cahn optimistic about Cherry Hill’s outlook for 2017
Mayor Chuck Cahn spoke optimistically about the future of Cherry Hill Township as he made his opening remarks for the year at township council’s reorganization meeting on Monday. There were no changes to the role of council president and vice president this year. Dave Fleisher was chosen as council president and Sara Lipsett was named council vice president.
Reexamination of township master plan leads stories to watch in Cherry Hill in 2017

Cherry Hill resident to make debut on Jeopardy! Monday night
Cherry Hill will be represented on the television quiz show, Jeopardy!, Monday night. Mary Caruso, a registered nurse from Cherry Hill, will appear on the Jan. 16 episode. Four Cherry Hill residents to receive 2017 Camden County Freedom Medal
On Wednesday night, four Cherry Hill residents will be honored for their service to the local community as they receive the 2017 Camden County Freedom Medal. Alan Braslow, Michael Doyle, Jane Murphy and Marshall Spevak are the Cherry Hill residents who will be honored in a ceremony at the Camden County Boathouse at Cooper River in Pennsauken on Wednesday.
