The New Jersey Committee of the Philadelphia Orchestra recently elected a new Chair and board members, and hosted its annual holiday luncheon. The new Chair is Richelle Rabenou of Moorestown.
Moorestown VNA expands Medicare/Medicaid home health care services in Gloucester County
Moorestown Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) has announced an expansion of its home health care services to include the whole of Gloucester County. The expansion comes as a result of the acquisition by the agency of Medicare and Medicaid licenses.
Moorestown High School Interact Club Hosts 15th Annual “Soup for the Soul”
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, the Moorestown High School Interact Club invites all to attend its 15th Annual “Soup for the Soul” charity event.
Moorestown Holiday Parade winners announced
Prizes were awarded to the float and marching group categories. Cub Scout Pack #61 won the float competition, Brownie Troop #27447 took second place and Cadette Girl Scout Troup #26174 and Junior Girl Scout Troop #25288 tied for third.
Ed Ebert’s InTown Auto Care receives NJSBDC Success Award
Each year, New Jersey’s Small Business Development Center honors small business owners throughout the state who have achieved high marks, while seeing both growth and success. At its 2016 awards ceremony held in December, Moorestown’s Ed Ebert’s InTown Auto Care was one of 16 companies in the state to be presented with a NJSBDC Success Award.

Moorestown Council Makes History, Swears in first Hispanic mayor
Moorestown Town Council has made history twice in the past five years, naming Councilwoman Stacey Jordan as its first female mayor in 2013, and Councilwoman Victoria Napolitano as the youngest mayor in New Jersey history in 2015. This year, history was once again made, as council swore in its first Hispanic mayor, Manny Delgado.
Macy’s at Moorestown Mall to close
Macy’s, Inc. announced the closure of 68 stores on Wednesday, including its locations at the Moorestown Mall and Voorhees Town Center. The move, which is part of the 100 closings Macy’s announced in August 2016, will displace an approximate 3,900 employees.
Two Moorestown equestrians ride into first place finishes for 2016 Regional Shows
Moorestown residents Grace Allen, 16, and Jillian Pizzi, 14, were recently awarded first-place finishes for 2016 Regional Shows, awards presented by the United States Equestrian Federation’s Equus Foundation.
MoorArts hosts Annual MoorMotion Event for Youngsters
Join MoorArts for an evening of creative movement and active games for Moorestown’s elementary students and their families on Friday, Jan. 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the third floor of the Church Street Rec Center. Prizes will be awarded for hula hoop contests, a limbo-off and relay events.
SJ NOW to hold Publicity Meeting
On Wednesday, Jan. 11, South Jersey NOW-Alice Paul Chapter will be showing the film, “INEZ MILHOLLAND ~ Forward into Light.” The speaker will be preceded by a discussion of chapter activities. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m., and will take place at the First Baptist Church, located at 19 West Main Street.
