Cherry Hill Police arrest suspect in ATM robbery investigation

Patrick Urso of Cherry Hill was arrested on Wednesday and charged with one count of second-degree robbery.

Cherry Hill Police arrested a man who is believed to have robbed a woman at an ATM last Monday.

Police arrested 36-year-old Patrick Urso, of Cherry Hill, and charged him with one count of second-degree robbery.

The arrest was made last Wednesday, two days after an incident occurred at the ATM located at Navy Federal Credit Union on Route 38. A man approached a woman from behind last Monday at about 8:45 p.m. and attempted to steal her cash. The suspect was able to grab some of the woman’s cash and fled the scene on foot.

Cherry Hill Police thanked residents for sharing a Facebook post with surveillance photos of the suspect. The post reached more than 45,000 people. Detectives also received several tips leading to Urso’s arrest.

Urso has been remanded to the Camden County Jail in default of $50,000 cash bail.
