I want to thank Emily Magana for her leadership on Strawbridge Lake, as well as all the community volunteers, Stem members and township employees who pitched in on Tuesday, Nov. 6 to make a huge improvement on a section of the lake.
Strawbridge Lake has always been the gem of Moorestown. As a lifetime resident, I was saddened and disappointed to watch all of Strawbridge Lake disappear from viewing along Haines Drive. I have many fond memories of activities at different locations along the lake.
Even now, I walk the lake daily from Church Street to Kings Highway. It is so refreshing and energizing to be able to see the lake again. Moorestown has seen many improvements from residents like Emily who volunteer their time, energy and resources to make Moorestown a better place to live, often with little acknowledgement or thanks. Hopefully more people will get involved to expand the shore clearing along the lake. So here is a big shout out and thank you to Emily and everyone who is helping to reclaim Strawbridge Lake.
