Two candidates are running for a one-year, unexpired term on Cherry Hill Township Council. Carolyn Jacobs (D), appointed to the seat in January, will be running against challenger Rick Short (R).

In the Cherry Hill Board of Education election, seven candidates are vying for three, three-year terms. Incumbents Steve Robbins and Jane Scarpellino are running for re-election. The other five candidates running for a seat include Fredrick Dande, Joseph Gerace, Ian Morris, Ruth Schultz and Edward Wang.

In addition to the local election, residents will cast their vote for president of the United States, the New Jersey District 1 member of the House of Representatives and two Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholder candidates. There are also two statewide referendum questions this year. The first is, “Do you approve amending the constitution to permit casino gambling in two additional counties in this state?” The second is, “Do you approve amending the constitution to dedicate all revenue from the state motor fuels tax and petroleum products gross receipts tax to the Transportation Trust Fund?”
