Improvments being made to Sicklerville Road Bridge

The project will feature installation of stone along the channel to provide protection.

The Freeholder Board’s Department of Public Works is improving the Sicklerville Road Bridge (CR 536) over the Great Egg Harbor River in Winslow Township. When completed, the project will feature installation of stone along the channel to provide protection and prevent future exposure and undermining of the abutment footings.

“Improving our roadway infrastructure while increasing highway safety is one of the best investments we can make in our county,” said Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Each year the Freeholder Board identifies roadways and bridges that are in need of improvement across our region.”

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining 1,400 lane miles of county roadway and 50 bridges. To report concerns on Camden County roadways, call (856) 566–2980 or visit www.camdencounty.com.
