Cherry Hill West to perform “The Odd Couple” Oct. 20 through Oct. 22

Laughter is sure to fill the room at the Cherry Hill High School West new auditorium next weekend as Cherry Hill West Theater presents “The Odd Couple” (Female Version). Members of the case spoke prior to a rehearsal last week of how this year’s show may be the funniest the theater department has put on in recent years.

Firefighting a way of life for two Cherry Hill firefighters

Cherry Hill firefighters Jim Aleski and Phil Cook both remember feeling a sense of awe when they were around their local fire department as kids. Now as adults, Aleski and Cook enjoy their job as members of the Cherry Hill Fire Department. The pair sat down last week to talk about the many different tasks they have to be prepared to do and what they love most about being a firefighter.

Cherry Hill East doubles pair establishing themselves as one of South Jersey’s best

Cherry Hill East girls’ tennis duo Sarah Jang and Rebekah Colacot are in their second season as a doubles team for the Cougars. The two are having a season to remember so far. The latest accomplishment for the duo was winning the South Jersey Interscholastic Tennis Championships doubles title during the first weekend of October.

What’s in a name? Monument marks the location where the name ‘Cherry Hill” was born

Hundreds of cars daily exit Route 38 and travel up a driveway leading to the AMC Loews movie theater and T.G.I. Friday’s restaurant across from the Cherry Hill Mall. Up the driveway, the cars pass a monument set off of the road. The monument honors a significant part of Cherry Hill history. It details the story of how the township got its name.

Cherry Hill Township sets trick-or-treating hours ahead of Halloween

With Halloween a little more than two weeks away, Cherry Hill Township and the Cherry Hill Police Department have announced trick-or-treating hours. Trick-or-treating will be permitted in the township from 3 to 7 p.m., the same hours as in previous years. Police also released a series of safety tips for trick-or-treaters and residents to follow on Oct. 31.
