The Maple Avenue Bridge over the south branch of the Pennsauken Creek in Cherry Hill and Pennsauken Townships is currently undergoing improvement. Concrete will be used to repair the span’s east abutment footing and cracks in the substructure. Stone will be installed along the channel to provide erosion protection. The project includes superstructure improvements such as parapet and arch repairs, as well as the installation of sidewalks and curbs.

“Improving our roadway infrastructure while increasing highway safety is one of the best investments we can make in our county,” said Camden County Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the department of public works. “Each year the freeholder board identifies roadways and bridges that are in need of improvement across our region.”
