The Haddonfield Center for the Performing Arts and artistic director Maximillian Esmus are pleased to announce the 2016–2017 concert series at Grace Church in Haddonfield. The 2016–2017 season continues the center’s tradition of presenting guest artists of the highest quality at very affordable prices. The programs offer something for everyone, featuring the music of Simon and Garfunkel, the songs of Frank Sinatra, and the glorious orchestral sound of a full British-style brass band.
The season kicks off with a tribute to one of the greatest songwriting duos in history: Simon and Garfunkel. On Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m., the Guthrie Brothers bring “Scarborough Fair: A Simon and Garfunkel Experience” to the Grace Performance Hall at Grace Church in Haddonfield. The Guthrie Brothers, Jeb and Jock, have been making music together since their childhood in Green Bay, Wis. The brothers said, “We knew the first time we played a Simon and Garfunkel song that our voices blended effortlessly into that S & G signature sound,” and the rest was history. The remainder of the season is just as exciting. On Dec. 3 at 7 p.m., the Center welcomes VOCES XII, a new, elite vocal ensemble out of Rowan University, which brings to life the high drama of Renaissance and Baroque-era music in an intimate setting. Then the center offers two opportunities to fight off the mid-winter blues: “Sounds of Sinatra” on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017 at 8 p.m., a special fundraiser for the center’s non-profit programs presented by South Philadelphia crooner Joseph Marino, and the annual Valentine’s Dinner-Dance on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. The Dinner-Dance will feature the young up-and-coming talents of Mystery Machine, one of the area’s most versatile bands, playing everything from jazz to Motown to hits of the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
In “Choral Pops” on March 18, 2017, the Chamber Singers of the Greater South Jersey Chorus take attendees to the lighter side of choral music while special guest artists, The Pine Barons of Cherry Hill, serenades with the close harmonies of barbershop tradition. The last concert of the season on May 13, 2017 is not to be missed. The Atlantic Brass Band, a 30-piece British-style brass band, will fill the historic sanctuary of Grace Church with a sound whose richness and beauty must be heard to be believed, from the deepest tones of the tuba to the thrilling brightness of the solo cornet.

Online orders are subject to a 10 percent discount when patrons order tickets to two or more different shows in one transaction. The discount increases to 15 percent on four or more different shows ordered online.
The Haddonfield Center and School for the Performing Arts is located at Grace Episcopal Church in downtown Haddonfield on Kings Highway, next to the Haddonfield PATCO train station. Its offices and the Grace Performance Hall are located to the rear of Grace Church in the Parish Hall building. Parking for HCSPA is available along Kings Highway, in the Tanner Street municipal lot, located behind Grace Church, and in the PATCO station lot. Evening and weekend parking is free in Haddonfield and at the train station.
