Whole Foods in Cherry Hill will be helping out the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey on Wednesday.
The Girls Scouts was chosen as Whole Foods Markets September Community Giving Day Partner. On Sept. 21, 5 percent of all sales at Whole Foods in Cherry Hill, Marlton and Princeton will be donated to the local Girl Scout council. Whole Foods’ donation will aid in enhancing girl programming related to healthy living, leadership, financial literacy, the outdoors and more.
“GSCSNJ is thrilled to be chosen as Whole Foods’ community day recipient for the month of September,” Kimberly Bryson, chief mission officer for GirlsScouts of Central and Southern NJ, said. “Local partners, like this, help us strengthen programming we provide to girls in our communities. We look forward to growing this partnership with future events.” GSCSNJ is continuously looking to expand community awareness and presence, and depends on local community organizations to help further the Girl Scout mission and girl-focused programming opportunities.
The Whole Foods Community Giving Day is dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations in local communities that have limited budgets, but big impact potential. Whole Foods’ focus is to support innovative groups that strive to make the world a better place. Girl Scouts’ mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place, so the community giving day partnership is a fit for both organizations.
