On Sept. 1 at 1:40 p.m., an Evesham Police Officer conducted a motor vehicle stop while carrying out traffic enforcement inside the township’s Data-Driven Approaches to Crime and Traffic Safety (DDACTS) Zone.
During the investigation Evesham Police K-9 Spike was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics. K-9 Spike was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of heroin and cocaine.
Arrested:
A male, age 25, of Marlton, was charged with third degree possession of heroin, third degree possession of cocaine and a disorderly persons offense for possession of hypodermic needles. He was released on his own recognizance.
A male, age 26, of Marlton, was charged with third degree possession of heroin. He was released on his own recognizance.
