Haddonfield author writes new book, reads at library in October

What makes creaks, bumps, and thumps in the night? Are there monsters hiding behind the closet door or under the bed? Is there something to fear, or nothing at all, my dear?

Many of us growing up as children can remember being afraid of the dark. Local Haddonfield author, Traci Dunham, through her third book, “Nothing to Fear from the Dark my Dear,” conveys through her detailed writing and illustrated picture book, that many childhood fears at night can be explained. Through the story, the little boy’s mother reassures him that the sights he sees and the sounds he hears, are nothing to fear.

Traci Dunham’s picture books are for preschoolers and elementary students. Her other two picture books are “The Oyster’s Secret” and “My Sister Lulu and Me.” Throughout the year, Traci does school and library visits, speaking engagements, local fairs and book events. Traci will be at the newly renovated Haddonfield library on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 10:30 a.m. and again on Oct. 12 at 3:30 p.m. reading and signing her new book, “Nothing to Fear from the Dark, my Dear,” during the children’s story time.
