The Woman’s Club of Medford has not spent the summer relaxing. The busy ladies have enjoyed a swim party social, an all-white clothing dinner party and a few planning sessions. Out of those sessions, plans have been finalized for our Happy Hour and second annual Violet Tea. They are reaffirming their conviction in supporting victims of domestic violence, among other community-based projects.
Anyone interested in meeting with club members and learning more about Woman’s Club and their initiatives is welcome to attend a Happy Hour on Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Lower Forge Brewery located at 14 S. Main Street. This event is open to the public.
The Violet Tea event is being held at Medford Lakes Country Club on Sunday Sept, 25, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Local businesses will be presenting a fashion show highlighting fall fashions while a menu of delicious teas and tea sandwiches will be presented. Members are preparing baskets of their favorite things for a silent auction to raise funds for victims of domestic violence and many of the club’s community projects. Tickets for the event can be purchased on the club’s website: medfordwomansclub.com. Tickets are necessary for this event and must be purchased by Sept. 16.
Regular meetings will begin on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Medford Memorial Community Center located at 21 S. Main St. New members always welcome.
