The closure will help facilitate the ongoing reconstruction of Springdale Road between Evesham Road and Wilderness Drive.
The Camden County Department of Public Works has announced another road closure as the roadway improvement project on Springdale Road in Cherry Hill continues.
Starting on Wednesday, Spring Road at Springdale Road will be closed for approximately two weeks. The closure will help facilitate the reconstruction of Springdale Road. Residents living in the Springbrook section of Cherry Hill can access their neighborhood through Chateau Drive.
“Springdale Road is one of the most highly traveled Roads in the County, and it is our responsibility to keep it in the best condition possible,” said Camden County Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the CCDPW. “We ask that motorists report any roadway concerns they encounter to us. We need the public to be engaged in the effort to make Camden County a better place to live and drive throughout our 1,400 lane miles of highway.”
The Springdale Road project has been ongoing throughout the summer and includes the alignment and paving of the roadway from Evesham Road to Wilderness Drive. The project also includes new traffic striping for left turn lands and bike lanes, traffic signal improvements with pedestrian crossings, landscaped islands with irrigation, handicap accessibility and drainage improvements.
Motorists should continue to expect delays around the construction area during peak drive times.
