Tabernacle Board of Education 2016 election is contested

November’s Board of Education election in Tabernacle School District will be contested, as five candidates filed to run for the board’s three open full-term seats, according to the Burlington County clerk’s office. The one-year term left by Stephen Price is uncontested, as Julia Sailer is the only candidate running for the office.

Also uncontested is the one Tabernacle seat on the Lenape Regional High School District’s BOE, filled by incumbent Robert H. Bende Jr.

Incumbent board members running for the three-year open seats include BOE President Victoria Shoemaker, BOE Vice President Geneva Moores and board member John Bulina. Newcomers include Megan Chamberlain and Gail Corey. All are the eligible candidates who will be vying for the open seats.

The Tabernacle Board of Education election will take place alongside the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
