Cherokee seniors Jason Morgan and Allison Vassalotti recently completed a five-week program at Rowan University’s School of Medicine this summer.
During this five-week program high school students were allowed to conduct scientific research in Biomedical Science.
Upon the completion of the course Morgan and Vassalotti then presented their summer research.
According to the program’s website, the objective of the program is to “expose high school students to academic research.”
The website goes on to list other benefits of the attending the program, such as deepened skills in biomedical sciences and a “unique experience” to share on college applications.
