Samaritan Health Care & Hospice raises more than $154,000 with annual golf tournament

“Drive FORE! A Good Cause,” Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice’s 25th Annual Golf Tournament, recently welcomed 180 golfers to Little Mill Country Club to raise funds and awareness for Samaritan’s not-for-profi­t services.

The tournament, sponsored by The Richardson Family Dealerships, raised more than $154,000 to help Samaritan provide care for community members coping with aging, serious illness, or grief, and to assist patients and their families live each day to the fullest with dignity, comfort, and support.

“We are so grateful for the tremendous outpouring of support for this year’s tournament,” said Maryann Boccolini, Samaritan President and CEO. “This generosity allows Samaritan to provide comfort, support and dignity through our continuum of services, including hospice care, Palliative Medical Partners, Transitions, Center for Grief Support and massage, music, and pet complementary therapies.

Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian, independent organization accredited by The Joint Commission, a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), and NHPCO’s We Honor Veterans program, created in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Samaritan is headquartered in Marlton and is currently building a freestanding facility in Voorhees.
