More than 30 Rowan College at Burlington County students, faculty and alumni, and community members will showcase their talent at the 2016 Summer Art Exhibit, at the college’s Student Art Gallery in downtown Mt. Holly.
The exhibit features 96 pieces including photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media and jewelry.
An opening reception is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 9 in the Student Art Gallery on 1 High St. The reception and exhibit are free to the public.
The exhibit runs from through Friday Aug. 26 during normal gallery hours: Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 3 p.m.; Thursdays from 3 to 7 p.m. and the second Saturday of the month from noon to 3 p.m. The exhibit was curated by Jessica Kane, campus curator.
RCBC’s Student Art Gallery is a part of the college’s transformation plan to create a modern campus experience. The plan calls for a larger arts presence in Mt. Holly by moving the gallery to a more prominent location at the front of the college’s Mt. Holly Center. The college’s fine arts studio, graphic design and fashion design programs will move to Mt. Holly — joining the existing culinary arts programs.
