The following reports are on file with the Mt. Laurel Police Department:
At 8:27 a.m. on June 8, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Clover Road. During the stop officers arrested a female, age 26, of Berlin. She provided a false identity to the officer in an attempt to avoid being arrested for multiple outstanding warrants. She was charged with hindering her own apprehension and committed to the Burlington County Jail.
An employee of Sports Authority on Centerton Road reported that a suspect stole a bicycle valued at $659 from the store on June 7 at 2:56 p.m. The suspect is described as a male, average build, in his 20s or 30s, wearing dark clothing and a back pack.
At 10:20 p.m. on June 5, Mt. Laurel police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Rogers Walk. During the stop officers arrested a male, age 18, of Philadelphia. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. He was released pending a court hearing.
On April 24 Mt. Laurel Police investigated a burglary and theft at a hotel on Nixon Drive. The investigation identified an employee as the suspect. A warrant charging a male, age 32, Philadelphia, with burglary and theft was obtained. On June 3 the Gloucester Township Police arrested the male and turned him over to the Mt. Laurel Police. Smith was committed to the Burlington County Jail in default of $4,000Â bail.
At 4:17 p.m. on June 3 Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Church Road. During the stop officers arrested a male age 28, of Philadelphia. He was charged with possession on less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.
On June 3 the owner of a business at 3838 Church Road reported that a trailer that was parked in a rear parking lot was stolen. The trailer contained a Bill Elliott McDonalds Edition 1996 Ford Thunderbird valued at $50,000 and a K0111 Cobra motor valued at $18,000 as well as miscellaneous car parts valued at $7,000. The investigation revealed that a dark colored single cab pick-up truck left the parking lot with the stolen trailer at 11:35 p.m. on June 1.
On June 3 a resident on the 200 block of Belaire Terrace reported someone stole a cell phone from an unlocked vehicle. The victim believes the theft occurred between May 20 and May 21.
At 7:57 a.m. on June 3, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Church Road. During the stop officers arrested a male, age 38, of Mt. Laurel for an outstanding warrant. He was also found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. The male was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of prescription legend drugs. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail.
On June 2 a business at 1155 Route 73 reported that someone cut lines on the central air-conditioning units behind their building sometime between May 25 and May 30.
On April 26 a resident reported that they suspected a home health aide stole checks and $3,000 worth of jewelry from their residence. The investigation revealed that the suspect forged two checks totaling $2,500 and cashed them at a bank in Mt. Laurel. An arrest warrant was obtained charging a female, age 59, of Lumberton with forgery. At 11 a.m. on June 2, the female turned herself in to Mt. Laurel Police at headquarters. She posted a bond for $10,000 and was released pending a court hearing.
An employee of Wegman’s reported that a suspect scammed a store cashier out of $178 at 8:55 p.m. on May 24. The suspect purchased a $500 money order and purposely confused the cashier with several exchanges of money. In the end he was able to walk away with the $500 money order and only paid $322.
At 8:50 p.m. on June 1, Mt. Laurel Police responded to a disturbance at a hotel on Route 73. During the investigation officers arrested a female, age 21, of Turnersville, for several criminal warrants form other jurisdictions. Subsequent to her arrest she was found in possession of crack cocaine and hypodermic syringes. She was charged with possession of cocaine and hypodermic syringes with bail set at $21,000 with no 10 percent option. She was committed to the Burlington County Jail.
At 10:08 p.m. on May 31, Mt. Laurel Police conducted an investigation into a suspicious person on Route 73 near Rogers walk. During the investigation officers arrested a male, age 35, of Mt. Laurel. The male provided a false name to officers to avoid being arrested for outstanding criminal warrants. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension and committed to the Burlington County Jail.
At 11:57 p.m. on May 31, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Atrium Way. During the stop officers arrested a male, age 26, of Evesham. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.
A resident on the 900 block of Centerton Road reported his residence was burglarized between May 29 and May 30. The investigation revealed that someone gained entry to the residence by forcing open a rear window. Electronics and tools were stolen. A neighbor reported seeing a large red SUV at the residence at 4 p.m. on May 30. The vehicle was occupied by a female with curly blond hair and a male both in their 20s to 30s.
At 3:25 p.m. on May 30, an employee of DSW Shoes on Centerton Road reported a subject came into the store cut a security cable and stole three Michael Kors handbags.
At 12:15 p.m. on May 30, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Fellowship Road near Route 73. During the stop officers arrested a male, age 27, of Trenton. He was arrested after he provided a false name to police to avoid being arrested for an outstanding criminal warrant. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension with bail set at $2,500 with no 10 percent option. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail.
At 2:15 p.m. on May 30, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the Wawa on Route 38 for a theft report. The victim reported that she left her iPhone 6 plus unattended on a counter for approximately five minutes. When she returned the phone was gone.
At 3:04 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to an erratic driver complaint on Nixon Drive. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop in a parking lot of a business on Nixon Drive near Harper Drive. During the stop officers arrested a male, age 38, Pennsauken. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.
At 10:42 p.m. on May 27, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Church Road near Springdale Road. During the stop officers arrested a male, age 27, of Mt. Laurel. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.
A resident on the 200 block of Summit Road reported that someone attempted to break into his residence between May 20 and May 22. The resident reported that he returned home to find the gate to the rear yard open, and a table moved next to the house directly under a window. The window screen was cut however no other force to the window was observed.
At 5:34 p.m. on May 25, Mt. Laurel Police responded to a minor motor vehicle crash on Route 73 near Commerce Parkway. During the investigation officers arrested a male, age 26, of West Berlin. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of cocaine, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing.
At 9:07 a.m. on May 25, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the Wegman’s on Centerton Road for a shoplifting report. Arriving officers located two suspects exiting the store with merchandise concealed under their clothing. Officers arrested a male, age 22, of Willingboro, and male, age 23, of Staten Island, NY. They were charged with shoplifting and released pending a court hearing.
