Moorestown High School track athletes break records again

Moorestown High School junior Brandon Outlaw broke a school record in the 400 meters with a 47.60 effort. Earlier this week, teammate and classmate Kevin Fox broke the school record in the 800 meters with a stunning 1:52.60 performance. Brandon broke his own record at the BCSL Divisional Championships at Northern Burlington High School. At Haddonfield Memorial High School Distance Night, Kevin bested a mark set in 1963 by Barry Middleton of 1:55.4. Both boys are currently ranked №1 in New Jersey in their event and in the top 10 in the U.S. junior class, top 50 U.S. overall.

Earlier in the season, they teamed up with Clark and Melvin Sheppard to establish a new Sprint Medley mark of 3:31.66. The previous 4×400 mark of 3:24.0 was set in 1975 by K. MacDougal, D. King, J. Little and C. Maloney. The old Sprint Medley record, also set in 1975, was 3:34.5 by T. Swain, J. Little, K. MacDougal and L. Friedman. At the South Jersey Relays, the quartet of Outlaw, Howard, Clark and Greg Gamble set a new standard in the 4×200 meter relay with a 1:31.12, beating the time set in 1972 of 1:31.5 by F. Hall, B.
