An investigation began on May 28, at 11 p.m., when an Evesham Police Officer observed a vehicle being operated by a driver with a suspended license.
The officer stopped the vehicle and when he approached the driver; the vehicle sped away in a reckless manner.
The officer attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver refused to stop for the officer, rather continued to drive recklessly while disobeying the officers signal to pull over. Due to inherent risk of the pursuit endangered public safety the officer quickly terminated the pursuit of the car.
The investigation of the pursuit led to the identification of the driver. Officers responded to his residence located in the unit block of Plymouth Drive.
A subsequent search of the home resulted in locating and arresting the driver of the vehicle. Three officers suffered minor injuries during this investigation.
Arrested:
A man, age 30, of Marlton, was charged with second degree eluding, two counts of third degree aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and fourth degree resisting arrest. He was released after posting 10 percent of $7500Â bail.
