Moorestown’s Fourth of July Committee hosts Freedom Lecture June 2

Moorestown’s 4th of July Committee is proud to announce that it is going to have the parade again this year.

Leading up to the parade the committee will hold its annual Freedom Lecture, an event designed to enhance the reason for celebrating our national freedom. This year’s lecture is entitled “Freedom of Speech: the Educational Debate & the Constitution” and will be given by the speakers from the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

The lecture that will explore the challenges related to freedom of speech in today’s educational environment as well as the controversial issues of presentations, expressions and debates of sensitive topics. Join in to learn how these issues are handled by the United States courts and by society in general.

The Freedom Lecture will take place at the Moorestown Library on June 2 at 7 p.m. It is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be available.
