The Camden County Freeholder Board is sponsoring the Camden County Veterans Job Fair for veterans, active duty military, members of the Guard and Reserve and military spouses.
“We are committed to our nation’s veterans and want to assist them in every way possible after they honored us with their service,” said Freeholder Deputy Director Ed McDonnell. “That is why we are proud to join the American Legion’s Camden County Executive Committee to present the Camden County Veterans Job Fair.”
The free Camden County Veterans Job Fair will be held at the BB&T Pavilion (formerly the Susquehanna Bank Center), located at 1 Harbor Boulevard in Camden, on May 4 from 3 to 7 p.m. In addition to meeting face to face with employers, workshops will be offered to veterans and other military job seekers that focus on interview techniques and resume writing. There will also be information on veteran services for women presented by the VA.
“Bring plenty of copies of your resume and dress for success, since this is a great opportunity for veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses to connect with local and national employers offering current job openings,” McDonnell said. “The Camden County Veterans Job Fair is a great opportunity for veterans who have recently ended their military career to transition to civilian life. It is also ideal for veterans who are unemployed or are underemployed to find their next job.”
Veterans, active duty military, members of Guard and Reserve components and military spouses are encouraged to pre-register for the free event at www.camdencounty.com/VetsJobs<http://www.camdencounty.com/VetsJobs>.
