Camden County Library System offering workshops on flower-arranging crafts
The Camden County Library System is offering a series of different workshops on flower-arranging crafts and skills for adults presented by Rachelle Hasenberg of Inspirational Horticultural Therapy. No experience is necessary and supplies will be provided for the programs being offered at different branches.
— Rose Petal Topiaries — Learn how to create a dried flower topiary using dried rose petals. Classes will take place at the South County branch on Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m. and at the Voorhees Branch on Monday, May 2, at 7 p.m.
— Spring Fresh Flower Arranging — Delight in the colors, shapes and textures of real flowers while learning the proper methods of flower design and how to make an arrangement last longer. Classes will take place at the Nilsa I. Cruz-Perez Downtown Branch on Saturday, April 23, at 11 a.m., at the Merchantville Branch on Wednesday, April 27, at 7 p.m., and at the Haddon Township on Monday, May 9, at 2 p.m.
— Miniature Clay Pot Bird Bath — Using natural materials enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while assembling a mock indoor mini clay bird bath. Class will take place at the Gloucester Township Branch on Thursday, April 7, at 7 p.m.
— May Day Baskets — The concept of floral gifting goes back over 2000 years. Participants will design their own traditional May Day baskets using silk flowers while gaining insight into their history. Classes will take place at the Ferry Avenue Branch on Wednesday, May 4, at 4 p.m. and at the Bellmawr Branch on Monday, May 23, at 7 p.m.
