Kennedy Health offers community winter wellness programs

Kennedy Health is hosting a series of community winter wellness programs to help educate and keep community members healthy.

With topics ranging from dream journaling, women’s health and stroke prevention, there are many opportunities to increase one’s well-being this season.

“Dream Journaling and Interpretation Series” — What do your dreams reveal about oneself and one’s relationship with the world? How can one best interpret dreams to give insight and a deeper connection with one’s inner self? Find out at this exploratory two-part series.

Events take place on Wednesdays Feb. 17 and Feb. 24 at 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Kennedy University Hospital, 435 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road, Sewell, in the third floor classroom.

“Ladies — Take Care of You!” — A lady’s life is full of things and people who need them, but doesn’t mean ladies should forget about themselves. Ladies can join this event and learn how to take care of themselves. Health is worth it.

The event takes place on Monday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Camden County Library — Vogelson Branch, 203 Laurel Road in Voorhees. Another event takes place on Monday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Gloucester County Library — Mullica Hill Branch, 389 Wolfert Station Road.

“Stroke Prevention: Wellness Facts You Need to Know” — Doctors might recommend a carotid artery procedure for those who have already had a stroke, a TIA, or if blockage of their carotid artery is severe. The goal of this procedure is to keep blood flowing to one’s brain, which helps prevent strokes. Join this event to learn preventative techniques and if this procedure is right for one’s case.

The event takes place on Tuesday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Kennedy University Hospital, 435 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road, Sewell, in the third floor classroom.

Kennedy is a health services delivery system serving the communities of southern New Jersey. Kennedy meets the community’s healthcare needs at its hospital campuses in Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township and at outpatient facilities throughout Camden and Gloucester counties.
