Marijuana possession and driving while intoxicated arrests top this week’s Mt. Laurel Police Report

On Feb. 2 at 4:26 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on the 100 block of Schoolhouse Lane. During the stop officers arrested a male age 23 of Mt. Laurel. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

On Feb. 2 at 3:39 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Fellowship Road near Pleasant Valley Avenue. During the stop officers arrested a male age 46 of Longwood, Fla. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

On Feb. 2 at 2:51 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Ark Road near Route 38. During the stop officers arrested a make, age 21,of Hainesport. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

On Feb. 1 at 11:15 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near I295. During the stop officers arrested a female, age 42, of Moorestown. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

On Feb. 1 at 9:59 p.m. an officer on patrol discovered someone broke a window on a business on the 3100 block of Route 38.

On Jan. 31 at 3:07 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near the NJ Turnpike. During the stop officers arrested a female, age 22, of Palmyra. She was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

A female employee of a gym on the 3900 block of Church Road reported that on Jan. 30 at 3:28 p.m. a man in a white Ford Explorer called to her as she was walking through the gym parking lot. He asked her directions, but as she approached the vehicle she saw that he was performing a lewd act. She yelled at him and he drove off.

On Jan. 30 at 12:47 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to a hotel on Fellowship for a well-being check on a guest. As a result officers arrested a male age 34 of Moorestown and a male age 19 of Maple Shade. Both were charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released pending a court hearing.

On Jan. 29 at 7:31 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to a hotel on Route 73 to serve an arrest warrant on a resident. Officers located and arrested a male age 43 of Mt. Laurel. He was charged with possession of prescription medication not prescribed to him, possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing after satisfying an outstanding warrant. Officers also arrested a female age 28 of Mt. Laurel. She was charged with possession of heroin and released pending a court hearing.

On Jan. 29 at 7:03 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 near Mt. Laurel Road. During the stop officers arrested a male age 21 of Pennsauken. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing.

On Jan. 29 a male age 28 of Camden turned himself in to Mt. Laurel Police for an outstanding warrant charging him with forgery that was issued for his role in the passing of counterfeit money at Wegman’s on Dec. 29. Bail was set at $12,500 and he was released after posting a bond.

On Jan. 29 at 2:25 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Century Parkway near Fellowship Road. During the stop officers arrested a male age 57 of Mt. Laurel after he provided a false name to officers to avoid being arrested for outstanding warrants. During the arrest the male attempted to destroy a drug smoking pipe he had in his possession. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence. Bail was set at $5,000 with no ten percent option and he was committed to the Burlington County Jail.

On Jan. 27 at 3:15 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to Ulta on Nixon Drive for the report of a woman who fled the store after shoplifting $95 worth of perfume. She was located by officers walking on Nixon Drive. Officers then arrested the female age 30 of Philadelphia. She was charged with shoplifting and possession of oxycodone pills. Bail was set at $7,500 with no ten percent option and she was committed to the Burlington County Jail.
