Center for the Arts in Southern New Jersey featuring work of Burlington County high school students

The Center for the Arts in Southern New Jersey, located 123 South Elmwood Road, is holding its Burlington County High School Student exhibit now through Feb. 5.

According to the Center the exhibit is always well received and well attended by up-and-coming artists, their families, friends and teachers.

This year’s exhibit provides a wonderful opportunity for student artists from Cherokee High School, Hampton Academy, Lenape High School, Maple Shade High School, Moorestown High School, Pemberton Township High School Seneca High School and Shawnee High School to hang their work in a professional gallery.

According to the Center, each year the artwork astounds all those who stop by to view the exhibition.

The creativity from all the students has shown all visitors to the Center that Burlington County has a multitude of gifted and talented young artists.

In past exhibits the artwork has included: 3D collages, mosaics, ceramics pieces, as well as works done in charcoal, marker and colored pencil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, oils and pastels.

The historic house that the Center for The Arts calls home is located on ground of the Indian Spring Golf Course. Built in 1785, the house was one the home of Thomas and Mary Evens.

The exhibit is free and open to the public Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. — 3 p.m. and Wednesdays, 7–9 p.m.

A free and public reception for the exhibit will also be held on Thursday, Jan. 21 from 7–9 p.m. at the Center.
