Songs of the Holidays will ring out at the Medford Historical Society meeting on Thursday, Dec. 4 as Charlie Zahm’s powerful baritone fills the room with traditional carols and other songs of the season. The concert is free and open to all, a holiday gift from the Medford Historical Society to the community. Refreshments will be served after the concert, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Medford Friends (Quaker) Meetinghouse located on 14 Union Street, Medford, New Jersey.
Charlie’s beautiful voice and masterful guitar playing makes him one of the most popular soloists of authentic Celtic music. However, Charlie is also known for his renditions of maritime and spiritual songs and for collecting traditional music up and down the East Coast of Canada and the United States. In addition to the guitar, he often incorporates a tin whistle and bodhran (Irish drum) in his performances.
