Moorestown Church Women to celebrate Human Rights and Community Nov. 6

Members of Church Women United of Moorestown invite all interested women of the area to a program followed by a luncheon Friday, Nov. 6, starting at 10:30 a.m. The event will be held at First Baptist Church, 19 West Main Street in Moorestown. The occasion is the group’s annual Human Rights and World Community Celebration.

The program, on the theme “Race: Our Journey Together,” will be led by the Rev. Linda Pepe, pastor of the hosting church, and member Claire Garner. The lunch main course will be catered, and participating members will provide homemade desserts. Luncheon tickets are available for $6 through Tuesday, Nov. 3, from Church Women United representatives in their respective churches or by calling (856) 234–7927.

We are already a diverse group, and our differences and commonalities will be highlighted as we seek greater understanding of one another. All are welcome. Limited handicapped parking will be available in the church parking lot, available from West Main Street. General parking will be in the adjacent township lot behind Carl’s Shoes Store.
