Moorestown Police Reports for Aug. 19 to Sept. 3

The following information is on file with the Moorestown Police Department:

On Aug. 29, arrested and charged with theft by deception for taking clothing valued at $206.46 from Boscov’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall and returning the merchandise for a gift card was a 26-year-old male of Camden. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail in default of $2,000 bail.

On Aug. 29, a 38-year-old man of Trenton was arrested and charged with shoplifting for concealing an Armani fragrance gift set valued at $95 from Macy’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall. He was released on a summons.

On Aug. 30, arrested and charged with shoplifting and burglar tools for taking $834.72 worth of bedding and clothing from Marshalls/HomeGoods on Route 38 and using scissors to cut the security sensors was a 29-year-old male of Philadelphia, Pa. He concealed the merchandise in a backpack and a foil lined Marshall’s shopping bag. He posted 10 percent of $2,000 bail.

On Aug. 30, a 16-year-old male of Burlington was arrested and charged with shoplifting. He took underwear and pajama pants from Macy’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall. Total value of the theft was $81.50.

On Sept. 1, The Crazy 8 Store in the Moorestown Mall had two shoplifters, but the store declined to press charges. However, they were found to be Fugitives. The two individuals, a 22-year-old and a 20-year-old, both of Millville, were both arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice from the state of Pennsylvania. They were remanded to the Burlington County Jail on warrants with bail to be set.

On Sept. 2, while conducting a motor vehicle stop the driver of the vehicle, a 54-year-old man of Berlin, was in possession of marijuana, less than 50 grams. He was arrested and charged with possession and released on a summons.

On Sept. 3, a 19-year-old man of Mt. Laurel was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, under 50 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia due to a motor vehicle stop. He was released on a summons.
