Welcome fall with animal programs, hikes with naturalists, crafts, food, entertainment, music, games, a children’s climbing wall, and educational demonstrations at Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge’s annual “Autumn with the Animals.” In addition to fun activities for every age-group, Cedar Run also is offering make and take crafts for the kids, plus a contest to help design Cedar Run’s holiday card.
This event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 12–4 p.m. at the Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge (4 Sawmill Road in Medford). Tickets will be $5 all-inclusive, members and teachers receive a discount.
Sponsorships still are available and will help offset the costs of this event to allow more families to attend. Sponsorships help support wildlife rehabilitation, nature based environmental education, and habitat preservation. Offered in conjunction with the “Hoot, Waddle, & Stroll 5K Trail Run/Walk” event on Sept. 26, sponsor packages start at $100.
