Fresh peaches, homemade baked goods, and ice cream will be featured at the annual Peach Festival on Friday, Aug. 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Moorestown First United Methodist Church. Since Aug. 21 is the date of the church’s actual 200th birthday, celebrate with birthday cake.
Children’s activities include a giant slide and face painting. Music will be provided by four different musicians and groups: Hank Mason, Al and Cindy Cope, Kathleen Deffley and the Sanctuary Band. A slide show of the church’s history over the past 200 years will be featured in Fellowship Hall.
The Peach Festival supports local food pantries. Need for food has reached new highs at three local food pantries: Moorestown Ministerium (St. Matthew Lutheran), Bethel A M E and First Baptist. Please contribute to these pantries by bringing a can of food to the Peach Festival.
