The Medford 18U Renegades won the UGSA HS Division Championship by defeating Marlton Thunder Black by a score of 4–1 to capture the league title.
The Renegades broke open a pitcher’s duel in the 5th inning to go up 3–1 and tacked on one more run in the 7th to hold the lead. Solid defensive play and timely hitting were the key factors in the win.
The Renegades got off to a slow start in the beginning of the season, but peaked at the right time, winning all six of their final games. This is the 3rd straight year the girls have been to the Championships (2013 14u Champs, 2014 15u Runner up, and Champions once again in the HS Division in 2015).
