Cal Ripken 12U State Baseball Tournament comes to Moorestown starting July 1

Wednesday, July 1 marks the start of the Cal Ripken 12U States Baseball Tournament hosted by The Moorestown Quakers 12U District team.

This week-long tournament will host 10 of the best 12U baseball teams in southern New Jersey who earned a spot in the States Tournament by winning or taking second place in their home district’s tournament.

Over 20 games will be played at Moorestown’s Pryor Park, located at the corner of Hartford Road and Salem Crossing Road in Moorestown. Games will run on two baseball fields within the Pryor Park complex that feature turf infields, raised permanent pitcher’s mounds, three batting cages, lights for night games, bleachers for home and visitor spectators, and indoor restrooms. There will also be a wide variety of hot food, snacks and drinks available for purchase for the duration of the tournament.

Game times for the tournament are 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. nightly July 1 through July 3, 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. July 4, 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. July 5, 6 p.m. July 6, and 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. July 7.

To kick off the event, the Trenton Thunder Mascot, Boomer, will be at Pryor Park at 5:30 p.m. on July 1 to cheer on the players on opening night.
