Moorestown’s 4th of July Parade is July 4

Moorestown’s 4th of July Committee is proud to announce that we are going to have the parade again this year, assuming there is no violent weather that day, as there is no rain date.

On June 4, the Committee held the third annual Freedom Lecture. This informative talk took place in the Moorestown Library and featured a speaker from the National

Constitution Center in Philadelphia who spoke about the Constitution and its interpretations now and when it was created. This talk resulted in a full audience and the Committee thanks everyone for coming.

The Committee also holds the Freedom Poster Contest in the various Moorestown schools to promote awareness of our freedom among the young students. The winners of the Freedom Poster Contest will ride in the parade.

The 2015 parade will step off at noon, heading up Chester Avenue, turning right on East Main Street to Church Street where it officially ends. Families are welcome to participate with their decorated bikes, scooters and wagons. We welcome veterans and encourage all of Moorestown’s civic organizations to also participate in the parade.
